Admission regulations
Information regarding:

Admission rules for the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences have been established in the resolution no. 92/XI/2024 of the Senate of the Jagiellonian University of 27 November 2024.
- enters the name of the course of studies completed or to be completed, which is the basis for the application,
- declares that the diploma meets the formal requirement of belonging to the field of Exact and Natural Sciences.
Caution! Applications for admission to the program are also open to individuals holding a master's degree, engineering master's degree, or an equivalent degree obtained in a field other than the natural and exact sciences. For such candidates, the formal requirement is the submission of an opinion from the candidate's independent scientific supervisor confirming the candidate's achievements and competencies enabling participation in the Earth and Environmental Sciences program, along with other documentation verifying the aforementioned achievements, such as participation in projects, conferences, courses, etc.
In the sign up form, candidate uploads the following documents:
- higher education diploma confirming the award of the Magister title or equivalent, or certificate confirming having been awarded the Magister title (if they do not hold Magister title, they upload scan of a signed declaration about the date by which they will submit their diploma or certificate confirming their Magister title);
- an information of a research fellow holding the academic title (Profesor) or academic degree of Doktor habilitowany stating their ability to academically supervise them as the doctoral student if they are admitted to the School (on a form downloaded from: programme website);
- reference letter for the candidate written by a research fellow holding the academic title (Profesor) or the academic degree of Doktor habilitowany;
- curriculum vitae including information about their academic output and achievements, especially including publications, participation in academic conferences, voluntary work, and grades from the studies;
- documents confirming academic achievements outlined in the curriculum vitae.
Each document issued in a language other than Polish or English has to be enclosed with a certified translation into Polish or English.
Confirming your application
Candidates do not have to confirm their applications. Applications submitted in full by the end of the period for submitting applications established in the schedule will be considered by the committee.
