Admission rules for the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences have been established in the resolution no. 71/XII/2023 of the Senate of the Jagiellonian University of 20 December 2023.
Sign up form
In the sign up form, candidate fills out the following information:
- enters the name of the course of studies completed or to be completed, which is the basis for the application,
- declared that the diploma meets the formal requirement of belonging to the field of Exact Sciences,
- briefly describes their academic interests (no more than 2000 characters including spaces).
In the sign up form, candidate uploads the following documents:
- reference letter for the candidate issued by a research fellow holding at least the academic degree of doctor habilitated or being an employee of a foreign university or research institution, who has significant achievements in academic issues related to the discipline of astronomy;
- the candidate's curriculum vitae (CV), with particular emphasis on academic achievement and information on the level of knowledge of English;
- diploma supplement or official transcript of the grades, and in the absence thereof, a copy of the index book or of another document containing the course names and the grades received, accompanied by information on the grading scale used;
- a certificate of average grade for first-cycle studies completed and a certificate of average grade for master's studies excluding the last year of studies (in the case of complementary master's studies, the average grade for the first year of these studies should be provided);
- confirmation from a research fellow (who holds a scientific title, or the academic degree of doctor habilitated, employed in the unit where the training program is implemented) of the possibility of providing supervision of the candidate in the event of admission to the Doctoral School;
- optional: a copy of the master's thesis or its outline if it is not completed.
Each document issued in a language other than Polish or English has to be enclosed with a certified translation into Polish or English.
Confirming your application
Candidates do not have to confirm their applications. Applications submitted in full by the end of the period for submitting applications established in the schedule will be considered by the committee.
