Who can apply?
Studies can be undertaken by people who hold:
- international secondary education document (a document entitling its holder to undertake first- or long-cycle studies in its country of issue),
- Polish Matura (2005–2026),
- International Baccalaureate Diploma,
- European Baccalaureate Diploma,
- Polish maturity certificate (issued up until 2005).
Qualified candidates must hold the document entitling them to undertake the studies at the time of the enrollment.
Additional requirements at the stage of enrollment
Note: At the enrollment stage, some candidates may be required to provide the following documents:
- certificate of proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level, in accordance with the list published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW),
- and/or statement from the Director of NAWA confirming eligibility to undertake studies in Poland.
The need to meet additional requirements is strictly related to your individual situation – both your citizenship and the country where you obtained your education are important factors. Further information will be provided later.

Exam
The exam is conducted in English. Candidates can earn between 0 and 100 points. The scope of the exam is thematically linked to six pathways available within the program: (1) Law and Policy of Sustainable Development, (2) Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, (3) Social Sciences and Humanities, (4) Biological and Environmental Sciences, (5) Economics and Management Engineering, (6) Economics and Geography. The exam assesses candidates’ aptitude for undertaking studies in the program, particularly: the ability to correctly analyze and interpret texts and data, critical thinking skills, and knowledge of materials related to sustainable development, as indicated on the program’s website.

Formal admission requirement
To undertake this programme, it is required to submit a documents confirming the candidate’s competency in English. The programme accepts the following documents:
- TOEFL iBT – at least 90 points (partial results cannot be lower than 20 points);
- exam IELTS Academic – at least 6.5 points (partial results cannot be lower than 5.5 points);
- ESOL Cambridge (CAE/CPE) – at least 176 points (partial results cannot be lower than 169 points);
- PTE Academic – at least 59 points (partial results cannot be lower than 53 points);
- ITACE C1 or C2,
- a document confirming obtaining at least 90% of points in the high school leaving exam in English at an advanced level (or bilingual) or a comparable result of another state exam confirming knowledge of English language at least at the B2 level. The final recognition of the document held by the candidate is decided by the Faculty Admission Committee or Rector based on analysis of the documents submitted by the candidate.

Based on the answers provided in the form, you will receive guidance regarding the need to meet additional requirements at the enrollment stage – please read all messages carefully.
