About the programme

PLEASE NOTE! Because this programme of studies includes courses where students have contact with minors, and because of the amendment of the Act on counteracting threats of sexual offences and the protection of minors, fulfilling the obligations arising from Article 21(2-8) of the Act of 13 May 2016 on counteracting threats of sexual offences and the protection of minors is required of students for participation in those courses.

Who can apply?

It is formally required that all candidates to this programme meet the following criteria:

  1. Holding a document confirming knowledge of English provided that secondary education was conducted in a language other than English. CEFR B2 level of English command must be verified by one of the following documents:
    • IELTS—at least 6.5 points,
    • TOEFL iBT—at least 87 points and at least 3.5 points from TWE,
    • TOEFL PBT—at least 543 points test score (for the computer-based test, at least 180 points.
    Candidates from Scandinavian countries may present their English grades on the high school graduation certificate. The minimum accepted grades are as follows:
    • candidates from Norway—4,
    • candidates from Sweden—C (VG),
    • candidates from Denmark—7.
    If a candidate from a Scandinavian country does not hold a required grade from an English course, they are obliged to present one of the documents enlisted above as proof of their English language ability.
  2. Holding a high school-leaving examination certificate or diploma of secondary education, which entitles its holder to be considered for admission to programs in the state it was obtained in.
  3. Having completed Chemistry and Biology or Physics courses during secondary and/or supplementary education, confirmed by a certificate including grade, or by an entry in the diploma of secondary education.
  4. Candidates who do not have a high school or high school graduation certificate, or suplementary education, which includes grades in Chemistry, Biology or Physics, it is allowed to submit certificate confirming the expected or mid-year grades in the above-mentioned subjects along with confirmation of the date of graduation and obtaining a school-leaving certificate signed by an authorized representative of the school. 

Final result calculation

Order on the ranking list of candidates is determined by their final results, expressed as a number on a scale from 0 to 100. The final result is based solely on the result of a written entrance examination Reasoning and Critical Thinking in Pre-medical Sciences conducted online in English. 

Entrance examination description

The entrance examination is online reasoning and critical thinking in premedical sciences. The test verifies the candidate’s analytical skills and ability to solve problems logically, based on information provided, general knowledge and foundations of medicine. Knowledge in Biology, Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Logic is checked through problems based on text analysis, as well as questions related to charts, graphs and reasoning skills.

The entrance examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Each question has 5 answers, but only one is correct (except for true/false questions, where one has to choose a correct statement). Examination duration: 180 minutes.

Documents required for qualification for the exam 

 When submitting application in the system, candidates are required to upload the following documents:

  • scan of a secondary education diploma or a certificate of supplementary education, confirming grades from Biology or Physics and Chemistry'
  • a scan of a document confirming knowledge of English, if the secondary school education was conducted in a language other than English,
  • if a secondary education diploma or a certificate of supplementary education, confirming grades from Biology or Physics and Chemistry is not available – a scan of a certificate confirming the predicted grades in the above-mentioned subjects along with confirmation of the date of graduation and obtaining a school-leaving certificate signed by an authorized representative of the school.

Each document issued in a language other than Polish or English has to be enclosed with certified translation into Polish or English.

ATTENTION! Please familiarize yourself with the list of required documents and prepare them in advance, as their collection may take longer than the time allocated admission to studies.

  • valid passport or EU citizen ID card (only for inspection, no copies)
  • high school leaving examination certificate or diploma of secondary education, which entitles its holder to be considered for admission to studies in the state it was obtained in
  • document confirming knowledge of English, if the secondary school education was conducted in a language other than English
  • documents uploaded into the IRK system during the application
  • certified translation into Polish or English of the documents issued in a language other than Polish or English (does not apply to IB diplomas and EB certificates)

Documents which can be delivered until September 26:

  • decision on the recognition of a document of international qualification, issued by the Polish education authority (kurator oświaty); more information: recognition of certificate issued abroad
  • apostille or legalization of a certificate obtained outside Poland (does not apply to IB and EB matura exams)
  • document confirming the medical insurance

Documents required after enrolment

  • medical certificate issued by a doctor of occupational medicine, confirming that there are no contraindications to study

ATTENTIONA referral for the medical exam is issued after the successful enrolment by the office. Please note that you should not sign up for the exam before enrolling, without the issued referral.

  • document stating information from the National Criminal Register (Krajowy Rejestr Karny) regarding crimes outlined in Chapter 19 (Crimes against life and health) and 25 (Crimes against sexual freedom and morals) of the Polish Penal Code, in Article 189a (Human trafficking), and in Article 207 (Cruelty) of the Polish Penal Code, as well as in Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws [Dz.U.] of 2023, item 172 and of 2022, item 2600), or on corresponding prohibited acts outlined in foreign laws
