Admission regulations

Information regarding:

• detailed rules of the admission process (including assessment criteria),

• admission schedule,

• documents required in the admission process and mode for their submission

Admission rules for the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences have been established in the resolution no. 91/XII/2025 of the Senate of the Jagiellonian University of 17 December 2025.

Sign up form

In the sign up form, candidate fills out the following information:

• enters the name of the course of studies completed or to be completed, which is the basis for the application,

• declares that the diploma meets the formal requirement of belonging to the fields of Exact and Natural Sciences, Engineering and technology, Agricultural sciences or Medical and health ciences,

• chooses the preferred language for the interview.

In the sign up form, candidate uploads the following documents:

• official transcript of the grades, and in the absence thereof, another document containing the names of the courses and the grades obtained;

• confirmation from a research fellow holding a scientific title or the academic degree of doctor habilitated, employed in the unit where the training program is implemented: biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology and biotechnology; of the possibility of providing supervision of a doctoral student in the event of admission to the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences; (on a form downloaded from: programme website);

• reference letter for a candidate written by a research fellow holding at least the academic degree of doctor habilitated or being employee of a foreign university or a research institution, who has significant achievements in scientific issues related to the discipline of Biological Sciences;

• curriculum vitae emphasising academic achievements;

• documents confirming academic achievements outlined in the curriculum vitae.

Each document issued in a language other than Polish or English has to be enclosed with a certified translation into Polish or English.

Confirming your application

Candidates do not have to confirm their applications. Applications submitted in full by the end of the period for submitting applications established in the schedule will be considered by the committee.
