Admission regulations

Admission rules for the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences have been established in the resolution no. 61/X/2022 of the Senate of the Jagiellonian University of 26 October 2022.
Attention! Admission held in the “external funds” special mode requires that the candidates meet additional admission requirements, as described on the programme’s website. Sign up form
In the sign up form, candidate fills out the following information:
- declares the status of their Magister thesis.
In the sign up form, candidate uploads the following documents:
- curriculum vitae (no more than 2 pages, A4 format) with a special emphasis on academic achievements;
- documents confirming academic achievements outlined in the curriculum vitae;
- transcript of grades: diploma supplement, or the official transcript of grades, or, if they do not yet have these documents, grade book or of another document listing completed courses and grades. Information about grading scale must be included;
- description of the proposed theme for the doctoral dissertation, icluding basic bibliography (no more than 2 pages, A4 format);
- opinion of a research fellow holding the academic title (Profesor) or academic degree of Doktor habilitowany stating their ability to academically supervise them as the doctoral student if they are admitted to the School (on a form downloaded from: programme website);
- Magister (master) thesis, or, if it is not completed, outline of the problems described in the thesis.
Each document issued in a language other than Polish or English has to be enclosed with a certified translation into Polish or English.
Recommendation letter
In the “Recommendation letter” tab candidate provides the email address of the person who will write their recommendation letter.
The Online Application System sends an automatic email containing a link to the recommendation letter form to the provided email address. Author of the letter must fill out and save the form before the date specified in the admission schedule.
Please note that recommendation letter is uploaded in the system as a PDF file.
Confirming your application
Candidates do not have to confirm their applications. Applications submitted in full by the end of the period for submitting applications established in the schedule will be considered by the committee.
