The VNDREAM consortium offers the International Visegrad Fund scholarships to cover costs of participation and mobility in the Joint MA in International Relations: Europe from Visegrad Perspective programme for the academic year 2024/25. The deadline for submission of scholarship applications in the second call is 6 September 2024. Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to apply directly to the Visegrad Fund to cover the costs of their second year of studies (2025/26). Attention! The programme offers a joint Master's degree in International Relations, specialisation: Europe from a Visegrad Perspective. The programme is delivered by VNDREAM - an international consortium of four universities, namely: Jagiellonian University in Kraków, West Bohemia University in Pilsen, University of Pecs and Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica. Students spend each semester of the two-year programme at each partner university. Detailed information about the programme is available at: www.v4.uj.edu.pl.

Continuous admission process

Applications to this programme are reviewed continuously. In this admission mode we encourage all candidates to regularly check messages sent to them in their IRK accounts, which will help the process. Steps required in the continuous admission process:

  • submit your application for the chosen programme;
  • enter all required data into the system and upload documents;
  • pay the application fee;
  • confirm the application by clicking on the "Confirm" button in the “Application“ tab.
    PLEASE NOTE! Before you confirm your application, ensure that all recruitment requirements have been met (required data have been entered into the system, the documents have been uploaded, and the application fee has been paid). Once the application is confirmed, it cannot be edited.

Once all those steps are completed and requirements are satisfied, the application will be checked and reviewed. Results of the admissions process are published regularly throughout the application round (except August 2024). Each results publication includes candidates, whose correctly submitted applications were already reviewed. 

Who can apply?

Studies can be undertaken by people who hold:

  • diploma of higher education (at least Licencjat or equivalent, e.g. bachelor) awarded in any field. 

An international diploma has to prove the candidate’s eligibility to undertake the second-cycle programmes of study in the country of issue.   

Qualified candidates need to have graduated from the declared study programme by the time of enrolment.  

Application

To apply for your chosen programme, please click on the green "Sign up" button on the right side of the screen. 
Please remember to fill out all required data and upload the documents needed. After completing the application, you must confirm it by clicking on the "Confirm" button in the “Application“ tab.

Attention! Once the application is confirmed, it cannot be edited. Only confirmed applications are considered. 

Documents required during the submission of the application

Upon the submission of the application, candidates have to fill out a form containing questions about the:

  • the course of study they have graduated from (upon the time of enrolment);
  • final diploma result – if this is not yet known, a predicted grade should be entered,
  • explanation of the motivation for their choice of programme (“Outline your relevant experience and suitability. Explain what sparked your interest in applying for the programme which includes mobility to four Partner Universities. Describe your interests corresponding with this programme of studies. How can you contribute to the broad field of International Relations? This is provisional statement of interest, giving you the opportunity to showcase your academic ideas and ambitions. Please keep your text within 6000 characters. Assesment of your answer amounts to 30 of 100 points of your result.”);

Upon the submission of the application, candidates upload copies of the following documents:

Candidates who hold a document confirming their command of English which may be basis for an exemption from taking part in the interview should upload the document in the system. Only paid and confirmed applications will be considered.

Calculating the final result

Admission rules have been established in the resolution no. 46/V/2023 of the Senate of the Jagiellonian University of 31 May 2023.

The final admission result is calculated based on the following elements:

documents analysis on a scale from 0 to 100 100% Passing the interview verifying candidate’s command of the English language. The interview is passed successfully upon earning at least 60% of total points. *

*Holders of documents confirming competency in the English language at least at the B2 level are awarded 100% of total points and are not required to take the interview. About the documents analysis

The final admission result is calculated on the basis of the result of the analysis of documents submitted by the candidate, allocating points as follows:

  1. Application content—maximum of 70 points, including:
  • grades in the transcript—50 points;
  • academic and non-academic experience, other achievements, foreign language proficiency—20 points;

      2. Motivation—maximum of 30 points—motivation for undertaking the programme, relevance and originality of academic interests presented in the application                         (maximum of 6000 characters).     

Place and time of the interview verifying the command of English

The interview takes place on the day specified in the admission schedule.

Candidates are notified of the interview details individually through their IRK accounts.

The interviews will be conducted online (via Microsoft Teams, Skype etc.). To take part in the interview, please note that you will need a stable Internet connection, a working microphone and headphones or speakers, as well as a webcam (you will be asked to show your ID card to the camera in order to verify your identity). You are also expected to answer the questions without any assistance.  

Final result and enrolment

After reviewing the application, the candidate receives information in the IRK on their final result and qualification status. 
Qualified candidates are obliged to complete their enrolment by the date specified in the admission schedule.

  • power of attorney (only if a candidate is enrolled by a representative)
  • declaration for correspondence enrolment 

documents, copies of which should be provided together with the originals for inspection

ATTENTION! Please familiarize yourself with the list of required documents and prepare them in advance, as their collection may take longer than the time allocated admission to studies. 

  • valid passport or ID card (only for inspection, no copies)
  • diploma of higher education entitling to undertake second-cycle studies*
  • certified translation into Polish or English of documents issued in a language other than Polish or English
  • document confirming the English command, if it was uploaded into the system when filling out the application form
  • documents uploaded to the IRK during the application

Documents which can be delivered until September 26:

  • apostille or legalization of a certificate obtained outside Poland

*If the candidate doesn't have a diploma yet (but have already graduated), may submit a certificate of graduation instead and sign the declaration of delivery of a diploma's copy with the original for an inspection by September 26, 2024.
