Who can apply?

Studies can be undertaken by people the holders of:

  • diploma of higher education (at least Licencjat or equivalent, e.g. bachelor) awarded in any field. 

The diploma proves their eligibility to undertake second-cycle programmes of study in Poland. Diplomas issued abroad of Poland, entitling to continue university-level study in country in which diploma was issued

Qualified candidates need to have graduated from the declared study programme by the time of enrolment.

Calculating the final result

The final admissions result is calculated based on the following elements:

grade average computed into points on a scale from 0 to 100 based on the grading scale 100% Passing the interview verifying candidate’s command of the English language. The interview is passed successfully upon earning at least 60% of total points. *

*Holders of documents confirming competency in the English language at least at the B2 level are awarded 100% of total points and are not required to take the interview. Please note that you have to enter the following information in your OAS account (tab ”Education”, link ”Edit exam results”): 

  • grade average. 

This information is required for the correct calculation of your final result. If you do not provide the information required for the final result calculation, your result on the ranking list will be 0 points. 

Place and time of the interview verifying the command of English

The interview takes place on the day specified in the admission schedule.

Candidates are notified of the interview details individually through their OAS accounts.

The interviews will be conducted online (Microsoft Teams, Skype etc.). To take part in the interview, please note that you will need a stable Internet connection, a working microphone and headphones or speakers, as well as a webcam (your identity will be verified with the identity document you will be asked to show to the camera, and you are expected to answer questions without the assistance of other people).

Submission of documents is not required at this stage.

Upon the submission of application, candidates have to fill out a form containing questions about:

  • course of study they have graduated.

Candidates who hold a document confirming their command of English which may be basis for an exemption from taking part in the interview should upload the document in the system. List of selected documents confirming the command of English, recognized at the Jagiellonian University, may be found here: list of documents.
Documents required for the enrolment

  • personal questionnaire
  • form “podstawa ubiegania się“
  • power of attorney (if a candidate is enrolled by a representative)

documents, copies of which should be provided together with the originals for inspection

ATTENTION! Please familiarize yourself with the list of required documents and prepare them in advance, as their collection may take longer than the time allocated admission to studies. 

  • valid passport or ID card (only for inspection, no copies)
  • diploma of higher education entitling to undertake second-cycle studies*
  • document confirming the higher education result (grade average) is taken into account in the admission process, including information on the grading scale (e.g. final transcript, certificate issued by the school office) 
  • certified translation into Polish or English of documents issued in a language other than Polish or English
  • document confirming the English command, if it was uploaded into the system when filling out the application form

Documents which can be delivered until September 29:

  • apostille or legalization of a certificate obtained outside Poland

*If the candidate has not yet received the document of their diploma, they may in its place submit a certificate of graduation, together with a written statement that they undertake to deliver a copy of the diploma with the original document available for inspection by 29 September 2022.

*PLEASE NOTE! The decision on the mode of enrolment available for this programme (online or in-person enrolment) have not been made yet. If online enrolment is available, candidates will additionally be required to submit an additional document from their OAS account: ”declaration for online enrolment”. Once the decision on the available mode is made, this will be marked here.
